This feels like home. After the first year, there are various opportunities for course remissions. Workshop sizes are always small, usually capped at eleven students.
Sure, there are plenty of things to love about Morgantown. In addition to taking five workshops, including one out of genre, an MFA student works one-on-one with a faculty mentor in preparing his or her thesis, a book-length work of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. There are also opportunities to teach during the summer and make extra money during the break. But I feel like I need to be honest about all writng the positives about this program, and what has been for me the biggest struggle.
PWE graduates do more than simply translate complex, technical information into easy-to-read prose.

WVU fosters an encouraging community. It has been made home, thanks to the IKEA furniture my boyfriend put together.
